To better understand how cultures effect youth’s identities, creativity, and self-growth, one should study ethnographies; which anthropologist create to show their studies of cultures and people. Using ethnographic films, the audience can conclude that each society might have different purposes, or different uses of creativity. Creativity in for adolescents in Las Hurdes might be survival techniques. Whereas creativity for adolescents in the U.S. could be creating a new type of game. In Samoa; youth culture seems to be less complicated amongst women than in the United States. Samoa adolescent women can identify their life purpose a lot easier then American adolescents. Finally, Giroux could successfully portray how youth culture effects self-growth with neoliberalism and our education system.
