They also messed up the way we see things, such as posting pictures on Instagram where people focus more on the likes. People should become more aware on how they use their smartphones. “ It's common knowledge in the industry that Instagram exploits this craving by strategically withholding "likes" from certain users. If the photo-sharing app decides you need to use the service more often, it'll show only a fraction of the likes you've received on a given post at first, hoping you'll be disappointed with your haul and check back again in a minute or two.”(Andrew-Gee, 2018, para. 31). The important message of this article by Andrew-Gee(2018) is that people need to maximize their awareness on using smartphones. The author’s point of view is smartphones should be used properly, it should help us and not put us in danger.

Smartphones clearly made our lives devastated in an instance which in the first place we should have prevented if we were clever enough to resist it. Our attention span would not have been decreased, we would still have a high IQ level and we would also still be motivated to be productive if we did not let smartphones penetrate us. We still have a solution to stop these harmful effects of smartphones, it is not yet the end of everything. Put in our mind that we should be smart enough to use it
