Your post about Wellcome was informative and compelling. I agree with the recommendations that you offered in your post. Management should have implemented and presented transitional strategies to employees in an effort efficiently facilitate the merger. Furthermore, effective communication is imperative to an organization’s success. I agree that management was not concerned about the employees. Their focus was on the business and financial aspects of the company. It is sad that they did not show any loyalty to Ofra Sherman or her team, being that they were assets to the company and had generated nearly 50 percent of the Pharmaceutical and Diagnostics division’s revenues and about the same amount in profits (Jick & Peiperl, 2011 p.353).
