I was reminded of that while I was reading this book. I was initially drawn more to the chapters about spiritual wellness instead of chapters about working with parents, or dealing with conflict. That being said though, I found multiple nuggets of wisdom buried within each chapter that I have highlighted and underlined. There is enough meat on the bones, so to say, that I think anyone reading this would find it helpful and beneficial. I would recommend this to future interns as there is a lot of depth and knowledge written on the pages. Throughout the entire book I sensed the underlying understanding and awareness of God that Fields has. I sensed the importance of love. Specifically, the love you need to have for God, and more importantly, the love He has for you. Through the book Fields keeps reminding the reader of the importance of keeping God involved not just in your ministry, but your life “Your relationship with Jesus is your youth ministry” (72) Im going to leave you with some words of wisdom from Fields, found near the end of the book. I find these final thoughts to be encompassing of Fields main message throughout his book. “Take some time and commit your future to God.
