This scholarly article discusses the responsibility of a child while apologizing and the differences between spontaneous apologies and forced apologies with the older that children become. It also gives an overview of the types of families, parenting styles, religious beliefs, morals and many other factors that contribute to how children are able to forgive and apologize. The focus of this article was to perform an experiment between forty families, all with diverse backgrounds, and to put their children in a controlled environment in which their behaviors could be measured.
