It is the largest daily newspaper in the state of Washington and has the largest Sunday circulation in the Pacific Northwest. It is a more democratic newspaper based on some of their articles. The text itself is on the homeless epidemic going on in Seattle, Washington and how children can also be homeless. The Reader or audience of the Article is definitely meant to be middle aged men and women in the Seattle Washington Area. This article is focused for people with teenage children because it talks about how vulnerable they are at that age. So, in the article readers have to be people who are unaware of homeless teens because it attempts to inform people. It would make sense that parents of teens are the targeted audience because they probably do not know much about the subject or have not even thought of it. Any adult with a teenage child that they care deeply about would feel differently than a single adult with no children. If someone was previously a homeless youth they would obviously have a strong opinion on the subject of other homeless children going through the same things they have.
