1. Catalogue Raisonné
a. I went to the UTM Library in order to view and scan the catalogue raisonné for the artist Cima da Conegliano, which I found in the course reserves for this course, FAH274. I used the index of the book in order to find the catalogue entry for my assigned work.

I searched for “Cima da Conegliano” and scanned the list of books for any that could be a catalogue. I found, Cima da Conegliano : catalogo della Mostra : Palazzo dei Trecento, Treviso, 26 agosto-11 novembre 1962, curated by Luigi Menegazzi, which appeared to be an Italian catalogue for an exhibition of Cima da Conegliano’s work in a municipal building in Treviso, Italy. Unfortunately, the book did not contain any catalogue entry for the Madonna of the Orange Tree. I realized that was likely because the work is part of a permanent collection in its home museum, which led me to find the museum’s catalogue instead. According to the catalogue raisonné, the painting is located in Venice at the Galleria dell’Accademia . Using the U of T Library database, I searched for “Accademia Galleries” and limited my results to the Arts Library as I know the library holds a great deal of exhibition and museum catalogues. I chose, The Galleries of the Accademia, by Francesco Valcanover, and I found the entry for Madonna of the Orange Trees
