You Have A Son Analysis

You have a son? I have a son too!

My first born is a girl and I quickly have learned that my daughter and son are complete opposites. For example, my daughter likes clean things, is more quiet, shy at times, and is modest. My son, on the other hand, loves a good dirt pile, keeps cool rocks he finds in his pockets, out going, dramatic and you don't know how many times I've told him to not pee in the front yard where everyone can see him. hahaha

Since they are opposite in most every way, I often times need to use a different approach to guide, discipline and communicate with my son.

When our sons grow up to be men: God has called them to be godly men, leaders of their home, loving husbands, pure in thought and deed. As moms, how can we help

He knows us better than we know ourselves. (Psalm 139) God loves him more than you do. God loves him more than any other person on this planet could ever love him. God wants him to grow in Him and be surrendered to Him. God has good things for him. Ask God to reveal Himself to your son.

Mom, most importantly, just be there for you son. Love him where he is. Love him for who he is. Love him for who God is turning him into. Trust God! Show your son all the love, grace, mercy and guidance that God extends to you. Stand in the authority that Jesus Christ has given you over your child. You are loved, mom. You can do

As stated earlier, E.M Cook was one of the scholars that contributed to the “son of God” debate and argued that the “son” was a negative figure. Cook offered the most comprehensive defense to the negative interpretation in his article, “4Q246”. Cook states “the Akkadian prophecies provide the most convincing background for 4Q246” and he argues for a direct relationship with these scrolls . The Akkadian prophecies introduced by Cook are a compilation of five works that date from the twelfth-century B.C.E to the Seleucid period . In Cooks article, he highlights twelve traits that Aramaic and Akkadian texts exhibit in common; however, on further examination, Collins reveal that they are not as impressive as they initially seem .…

In this version of “The Second Son,” I took your advice to tell the story from another POV the extreme and changed from “single I” to an epistolary piece, with no central narrator. In this version, Mal Dallon is less of a “crazy” man, wandering the streets and fighting off his own personal demons, and more of an ignored messiah, in that he’s bringing a message to an unenlightened world (through his death), only for it to be quickly forgotten for the next news bite. Is this version better than the original? I honestly don’t know. But, I can say that it’s completely different.…

There have been quite a few scientific studies on young children playing with gender neutral toys and being raised without stereotypes. Many sociologist agree that children playing with gender neutral toys is actually very beneficial to their development. According to Dr. Stephanie Sweet, a sociologist and lecturer at the University of California, Davis, “Studies have found that gendered toys do shape children’s play preferences and styles. Because gendered toys limit the range of skills and attributes that both boys and girls can explore through play, they may prevent children from developing their full range of interests, preferences, and talents.”…
