Yonnondio is about this family that goes by “Holbrook Family”, who are going the through this time where they are experience poverty. It’s an emotional time for the family. Jim Holbrook a father and husband as well as Itinerant laborer who always has a hard time finding decent work. He worked in a coal mine in Wyoming, Tenant farm in North Dakota, and a meatpacking house in Omaha, Nebraska, It didn’t matter how far he traveled or what he did because he was never getting paid enough, and wasn’t going to help him make a living for his family. She did a very good Job backing up her Thesis. She made the book very understanding for her readers. Because I was able to understand the book and being able to really think about the concept of the story I found the book to be interesting which gave me that emotional connection to the story. I think that one contribution that helped me understand the period that was being discussed is that Anna the mother was very big on education for all her children. Doing additional research I found that during that period of time it was still a time where it was important for boys to get a good an education while the girl got the bare minimum and they were really meant to strictly take care of the children as well as home duties the husband may give you. In my opinion I didn’t find the author to be any type of bias or faulty
