What Yolo Means To Me?

You only live once (YOLO). This topic hits home with me on a personal level, it made me think about the way I use the term versus the true meaning. Does it mean that I should be able to act with a reckless abandonment because I only have one life? Does it mean that I have one life and that I should live that life to the fullest because time waits for no one? To me, YOLO represents the regrets I feel through my high school experience. My life is full of regrets from things I wish I’d never done to things I wish I would have done. I wish I could wave a magic wand and go back in time, however, reality is that a do over is not possible. My goal from this point forward is to make the most my life. For me, YOLO truly means that you only live once so make the best of it, because if I sit around and …show more content…
So, when I hear the term yolo I think about everything that I want to accomplish in my life. The things I want to do involve me having a good job and a lot of money, so when I think of yolo I think of everything I want for myself when I get older. I want to travel the world have a family, drive nice cars wear high end clothes, I want to be a part of elite class in this country. So when I hear yolo that is what I start to think about, God only gave me one chance to live this life so I shouldn’t waste my time hoping fortune just lands in my lap I need to go out there and make it happen if I want it. Life is way too short for me or anyone in particular to sit around and just wait for something to happen. Life is meant to be lived to the fullest and if I don’t take advantage of the opportunities that life gives me I’m not going to truly know what life had in store for me. If I don’t travel the world someone else will gladly do it for me, so the question is do I want someone else to live the life that I was destined to or do I want to take the risk to be the successful man I dream of
