This I believe……

Your stomach churns as you watch your fellow biker swerving in and out of the bike lane into ongoing traffic, just like how a drunken driver might veer into the bike lane. The thought of you crossing those lines would be equivalent to the thought of the Titanic sinking It’s impossible. I believe in the Cautionary tale.

We have all been there you pull up to the stop light as it turns from green to yellow, the question is whether you will floor it and try to make the light. Some people will say “YOLO” and floor it. These are the idiots that provided us with the statistic that each day 12 people get hit by a car. Their is two meanings of yolo to some people, for some people yolo means you have to tests life boundaries. And to others yolo means you only live once so you might as well and try to preserve your life.

Don’t get me wrong it’s not like I am constantly warning people about the dangers of being stupid. In fact when I was younger I use to live on a hill, it

If you have to think about it then you also have to consider that it’s not just your life at risk it’s also the drivers. So next time you make the irrational decision of running in front of a car or swerving in and out of the car lane. Reflect on what would happen if the car wasn’t able to slam on the

Everyone speeds, or at the very least has driven faster than the posted speed limit sign. Some may argue that the speed limits should remain the way they are, however, the article “Speed Doesn’t Kill” shows readers logos, ethos, and pathos by providing simple statistical information from several resources along with person insight to argue that speed limits should be reasonably increased. The author, Matthew L. Herbert, argues that the majority of people don’t get in car crashes from someone driving too fast, it’s because the driver was reckless. It is extremely important to make your readers able to emotionally relate to your argument.…

If the Newseum is torn down, the first amendment will not have a place to be celebrated just for itself, so there will be no place to celebrate the first American Constitutional freedom. President Trump is pressuring Congress into passing a bill that will start a project to make room for new monuments. The project will consist of tearing down monuments that the government feels are unnecessary. The project will ruin DC and the American spirit. If the bill does pass, the Newseum should definitely not be torn down since it is a reminder of what America is, it will have horrible economic effects on the country, and tearing it down will diminish the American spirit.…

The word mestizo is popularly known as a man of mixed race, who is often the offspring of a Spaniard and an American Indian. This simple word brings two unique cultures, two different races, and two different set of values, and merges them together to create a unique and culturally diverse person. Many have heard the word, many have used the word, but did we ever stopped to think about the real social value and controversy this word carries in its meaning? The history of mestizos and mestizaje should serve as a role model of how merging cultures can have a great and positive impact in the world, but it should also be a lesson on the struggles of being portrayed or expected to act as a certain nationality, race, or even a stereotype, especially…

After reviewing my persuasive speech over why the University of Oklahoma is the best university in the nation, I would sum up my speech as a little bit of train wreck. Although I made good claims with factual evidence, the amount of stuttering I did, and all the times I was choked up throughout the speech drew my audience’s attention away. From this, I lost my audience’s belief that I was competent of the information I was reiterating to them. At the introduction of my speech I believe I started out fairly strong and gave a good run down of the coming speech.…

Imagine heading home down the highway on a cold winters evening, the snow is coming down hard making it almost impossible to see. While you are just trying to get home safely, it seems like everyone else around is either bumper to bumper or flooring it down the road; some cars have their headlights burnt out while others seem to barely have working brake lights; the most frosting thing to see are the people who just do not use turn signals. Suddenly, the person in front of you hydroplanes, this causes their car to swerve out and do a 180 degree turn. Now that car is stalled in the middle of the highway facing you straight on. The most common avoidance that people use would be to just slam on the brakes and hope that they stop in time.…
