Precious Memories’ mission is to provide day care for children who have been rejected from other care facilities or schools for either financial or behavioral reasons. Throughout my reading, I notice that the author was describing the lives of Batek men and women in the tropical rainforest which I found it very engaging to read. I found it very acceptable that the Batek consider women the experts at building lean-to shelters, while men took responsibility for constructing Malay-style raised houses at clearings.
