Yoga has been identified safe for all ages however for beginners injuries can happen. The idea of yoga is to be gentle and easy going rather than doing stretches and poses that can cause over stretching strains or worse. Certain asanas can be dangerous to the person if not done properly and or if the person has certain health issues. For example, the upside-down headstands can be fatal to people who have hypertension. Yoga should be used as a complementary therapy rather than an alternative for the specific treatment for a disease or disorder. Before engaging in this therapy, it is advised that consults with doctors is needed (Synovitz,
