People stereotype because of race all the time. According to Schiller, they claim that, “more than one-third of blacks and nearly 20% of Hispanics and Asians reported that they had personally been passed over for a job or promotion because of their race or ethnicity,” What this quote is saying is that people are losing opportunities because of their race. Ohle states, “According to this distinction, sex is connected with biology, whereas the gender identity of men and women in any given society is socially and psychologically (and that means also historically and culturally) determined.” This shows that society throws gender roles at women.
