I actually feel like he has had a positive effect on society. He started off rapping in Memphis and built a catalog in 2000 (Robertson 2016). In Memphis, he was reaching mostly poor African Americans. As he got more famous; however, he was able to affect many more people. Yes, of course, there are still poor African Americans who listen to him, but now there are even more people. There are some white people, richer people, and just people of very different backgrounds. By listening to Yo Gotti, people are exposed to the life of Yo Gotti. If you actually listen to the words, you get insight of someone else’s story and how he grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. She obviously affected America in many ways. Not only did she always present herself like a lady, but she always showed that she was confident.
