EXPERIENCED PROGRAM COORDINATOR RETURNING TO THE YMCA
Please consider me for the Youth Programs Coordinator position at the Tong Louie Family YMCA and Brentwood Community Centre as listed craigslist.ca. In addition to an undergraduate degree in communications and extensive experience working as program coordinator, I am a former employee of the YMCA and would love the opportunity to return to the organization.
As a program coordinator for Douglas Park Community Centre, my primary role was to develop and facilitate children and youth programs. I worked directly with the centre manager to coordinate communication between the program, staff, and public. In addition, my role required me to manage a staff, create a budget, perform administrative

As a volunteer for the RRU Peer Support Program, I planned student and community events to raise awareness around gendered violence and fundraise for the program itself. While working for the YMCA of Greater Vancouver and Douglas Park Community Centre I hosted programs, like sports tournaments and summer camps, and I helped to create a sense of community, through outreach and leadership programs. As a volunteer leader and project assistant for the Great Island Run, a fundraiser to benefit St Mary’s Hospital, I further strengthened my skills in leadership and teamwork.

When I was a preteen, I was part of the Youth Leadership Development program at the Chilliwack YMCA. I went on to work for the YMCA as a gym program leader, then as a summer camp coordinator, and finally as a volunteer coordinator for the Youth Leadership program – the same program I had been a participant in. Having benefitted from the support of the YMCA myself, it would be a great honor to join the Tong Louie Family YMCA and the Brentwood Community Centre and connect others to this community leader.

Thank you for considering me for this position. If you have any questions, please call me at 778-238-9481 or e-mail me at lindsayraemeissner@gmail.com. My online portfolio is available at http://lindsayraemeissner.wix.com/portfolio.

I can relate to this website personally because I myself attended YMCA’s as a child and teenager and I believe that that can teach a lot more than just sports. They can offer leadership opportunities and I will be able to use the information that I learned to inform, persuade and help people of all ages to become leaders and to work harder at developing their own minds through mental and physical activities in order to obtain happiness, recognition, and rewards such as physical achievement, leadership skills, trophies and scholarships. It also helps to know that this website can help me professionally by guiding my programs and directory skills and linking them to determinations and commitments, and to bring about personal and social change in all…

I’ll never forget the day it happened, January 28, 2017. At two in the morning, the unwelcome sound of Gilbert Hall’s fire alarm awoke me. As I exited my room and entered the stairwell, I was greeted with the oddly eerie tone of systematic mumbling echoing up all four stories of the building’s brick corridor.…
