Yellowtone National Park Vacation

Improved Essays
Last week me and my family went to Yellowstone National Park for our vacation. We stayed at Yellowstone for 10 days from July 9th to July 19th. At Yellowstone we did all kinds of things like, sightseeing, hiking, rafting and plenty of more things. Here, I will tell you all about the fun things we did in Yellowstone.

The first hike we had was in Mammoth Hot Springs and was called Beaver Pond trail. The hike was a 6 mile hike that took us 3 hours. After that we visited the hot springs and saw boiling water coming down from different colored rocks. The next day we visited tons of geyser, fumaroles, and hot springs. We went to The Grand Prismatic Spring and we then went to see Old Faithful.

On Thursday we went white water

Throughout the first week I went to Raging Waters with with one of my best friends. The main reason we went was because we really wanted to go on their new ride, Aqua Blaster, and once we did we couldn't stop. Another fun thing that I did was going to Disneyland and California Adventures. The only reason I was able to go was because someone I knew got a job there and was able to let my friend and I in for free.…

Inside the park there are reams of activities to enjoy including hiking, biking, camping, fishing , kayaking, and even becoming a Junior park ranger. My family stayed in the park in one of the many cabins you can rent. I went horseback riding in the park on the first day we were there. It was such a splendid experience. It was highly informational because we were led by a park ranger who knew about the land and animals who inhabit the region.…

Did you know that at the present rate of extinction 20% of the world’s animal species could be extinct in the next 30 years. A lot of this is because of changes to living and nonliving things and their habitats affecting the population of an ecosystem. Did you know that oil spills can even affect many worm species causing them to over populate. Also, Wolves aren’t the real bad guys in Yellowstone national park. My last point is about melting glaciers, and how their destruction is causing some of the worst damage to animal populations.…

It was literally the best time of my life and all the parks were amazing in their own way. But the saddest day of my life was the day I had to fly home because that was going to be the last time I went until the high school band goes. We got to see stalagmites, stalactites, flowstones, chandeliers and soda straws. We took lots and lots of pictures because if I didn't slow my family, I feel like they wouldn't have believed me. We spent about half our day there, and then after that she took me to the San Antonio Zoo. That zoo was humongous, way bigger than the one in the valley.
