One last situation that could possibly go wrong would be that the students couldn’t engage in summer programs while enrolled in year-round schools. Given that the school runs through part of the summer, parents see this as being impossible for their children to expand their knowledge outside of school. “Many people believe that summers are valuable times for students to grow and learn outside of the classroom environment,” (O’Sullivan 410).
