Year round schooling is a system that provides students with a longer period of education throughout the year by decreasing the amount of vacation days. It rids of most of summer vacation and replaces it with extra months of schooling. Although most students may think of this as inferior to the traditional arrangement, there are many pros and reasons to support it. Year round schooling should be enforced as it is beneficial for a student’s academic, financial, and social performance. It is definitely a wise decision, especially for students who are falling behind, to go to a school that provides year-round education.

In the 8760 hours there are in a year, traditional schools offer only 1110 hours of schooling. This meaning students who attend traditional schools only spend around 13% of their year in school.
