Year 8, was it easy or was it something you would not like to remember. Well, here are ten tips to make year nine something to remember.

1. Be On time

There's nothing worse than being late to class and then being asked to stay in after class. So by getting to class on time, your teacher is happy and you get your recces and lunch for yourself.

2.Be organized

Being organized is the key to good grades. Personally, I wasn't organized in year 8 and I had a bad year. But year 9, I organized my folders and so far have achieved the best results of my high school schooling.

3.Use your diary

To be frank you cant remember all your homework and due dates in your head, its impossible. Using your diary is an easy way to store all your homework assignments

Return your library books

When you borrow library books from the library, you have usually have a 2-week borrow period. After that time limit, your book is deemed lost and the school will ask you to pay for a new copy, which should only cost $15 dollars but you will have to pay $30 for some reason. So remember to return your library book or you'll get charged a ridiculous amount of money.

9.Go to bed on time

Think about what time you go to bed on a school night is it 9pm, 10pm, 11pm. Chances are that it is closer to 11pm, Some people might be fine and are able to feel good the next day, but were teenagers and that's too late for us. According to scientific study, the minimum amount of sleep a student in year 9 needs is 7 hours. So going to bed at 10pm is the perfect time for us. By going to bed on time you will feel good the next day and school won't feel like crap the next day.

10. Don't Procrastenate

This is perhaps the most important tip is to not muck around in class and to just do your homework/study. If you do your homework your teachers a happy and you get more time to yourself. It's a win-win situation.

Those are my top ten tips to surviving year 9, whether you chose to follow them, that's your choice but remember I've done this and its worked pretty

8th grade compared to 9th grade can be a difficult change. For example, if I was not taught to use hand to hand combat against enemies, I need to change in order for me to defend myself. So in order for you to survive freshman year, just do what you do best and pick up some advice from other teachers and students so that you can avoid hard obstacles. Another way to survive freshman year is to be good at something and show off just a little of your talent and wait until somebody comes over to complement your skills. I know being in eighth grade can be kind of fun, but when you go to freshman year, you need to pick up the pace and start getting prepared for college early and work your butt off until you graduate in senior year.…

The three techniques from the article “The Importance Of Getting To Know Your Professors” I believe will be useful for me are avoid being tardy and turning in assignments late, email your professor if any problems arise that could affect your attendance and/or school work in class, and preview the assignments and discussions to familiarize yourself with topics for the course and/or next class discussion. First, the reason why I choose to Avoid being tardy and turning in assignments late is on account of the fact that I know from personal experience that teachers and professors alike hate having to take time away from something they could be doing to have fun or better themselves as a person. Next, was the technique of emailing the professor…

The first issue of organizing and completing a heavy load of homework from college classes may look very different depending on which stage of maturity a person is in. First, the “Later Childhood” stage, I believe may depend on someone else such as a teacher or parent to give instruction or encouragement on how to tackle the work load and or homework. Without direction, in this stage a person may make choices that affect the ability to get the work done. For example, I may choose to spend time with friends or on Facebook and then feel that is a good excuse for not studying, being pressed for time, or not getting the homework done. Organization is also needed but most likely being taught by teacher or parent.…
