Yazidis Research Paper

The Yazidis are mostly located in the northern areas of Iraq and Syria and the southeastern parts of Turkey. They have a Kurdish way of life and their language is Kurmanji. Their religion is believed to have started soon after the creator of ʿAdawiyya sufi, Shaikh ʿAdi b. Mosāfer, order died and the religions around them began to impact and change it.
Shaikh ʿAdi b. Mosāfer and two others lived in the valley of the Lāleš. In the valley, there were already people there and they already called themselves Yazidis. Their religion was part of an ancient Iranian religion. Shaikh ‘Adi became very well respected and then died and his tomb is now a pilgrimage spot.
