The screeching of my violin echoed off the wall as I struggled to play Mendelssohn's concerto in E minor. The double stops that were meant to flow in harmony came out in a jumbled mass of notes indistinguishable from the shriek of a dying cow. When I was walking through the freshmen halls, I thought that I was ready for all the stuff that going to happen throughout the four years of hell. Well to start out, I was attending band camp over the summer and we were working on our band show so school already started for me since July, two months before school actually started. Back in junior high school, I fell so much in love with hip hop music, which was frequently played on our local radio that I got inspired and began to form my own melodies and rhymes.
