During the summer between my junior and senior years of high school, I completed one hundred hours of service with Youth Rebuilding New Orleans, an organization for teenagers dedicated to remodeling and reconstructing homes in the New Orleans area for affordable prices. While I was on the job, I held the title of Supervisor on Site, which had me making sure that all the workers were carrying out their duties efficiently and safely on work projects. This experience held me responsible for the well-being of YRNO's employees, which taught me how to interact with other workers authoritatively and respectfully in order to keep morale on worksites high and make sure that everyone was on task.
