The Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 are going head to head battling for consumers’ attention. The Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 have their similarities and their differences and the purpose of this essay is to discuss those similarities and differences. The importance of discussing the two consoles differences is to show which one a gamer might buy. In this essay the critical points of discussion will be the design, features, and the exclusive games each console has. The first topic of discussion will be the design of each console. The color of each console is the same as both of them sport a slick black color scheme, however that’s where the similarities end. The Xbox One is wider than the PS4, yet the PS4 is longer than the Xbox One. Depending on how much room a gamer has on a shelf this could be a big factor in the choice of which console they will decide to purchase. The second topic of comparison is the features of each console. The Xbox One has a snap feature which allows the gamer to play a game and watch YouTube, TV, Twitch or Skype at the same time they are playing a game. The PS4 does not this app, although the PS4 allows gamers to have multiple applications running without having to close them out.
