When this assignment was assigned, I knew I wanted to choose the two assignments I knew that were going to help me the most later in life. After a semester of learning about email etiquette, the job application process, designing PowerPoints, and research methods, I knew I had a lot to choose from. I wanted to make sure I chose, in my eyes, the two best documents I turned in. The two documents I have selected to revise for this portfolio are the email package from unit one and my job application from the document redesign portion in unit three.
I chose the email package because I feel as if I have shown great professionalism within the emails I created. I know that one day, I will have to send out emails with similar content to these scenarios. I know I excelled in this unit because of learning about various tips within email etiquette, the 8 C’s; to be complex, consistent, coherent, clear, concise, correct, creative, and complete. I also kept in mind to keep my resume chronological, functional, and appealing to the eye. My first resume looked very odd and plain. If I sent that resume into a job, I know it wouldn’t catch anyone’s eye compared to others. Once learning about arrangement, emphasis, contrast, repetition, alignment, and proximity I knew my resume could become more attractive. Once I redesigned my resume, figuring out which colors went best with others, how to align my text, etc., I feel as if I hit all of the correct aspects and liked the look of my resume a lot more. Also, in my document redesign, I had a lot better use of my white
