Although X-Elite Technologies is relatively new to the computer market, they have managed to bring the brand new X-Elite 1 to the ‘workhorse’ market. Being priority number 1, they have decided to neglect the ‘mercedes’ and ‘traveler’ computer markets to focus on creating a magnificent ‘workhorse’ desktop computer. Government Policy has yet to have an effect on X-Elite Technologies besides standard false advertising policy. The first revision of the company’s magazine ad was flagged as it contained falsely advertised features that the X-Elite 1 did not have. After further revision the advertisement, the firm deployed the advertisement across Shanghai. The natural work environment of the city allows for a large target market for the ‘workhorse’ style computer. The city is extremely quick growing and the firm believes it will open up many sale opportunities for new and existing companies looking for their primary supplier of ‘workhorse’ computers. Shanghai offers the most appealing market out of the four destinations that the firm was thinking of, with an expected market size of 7470, almost two times more than the ‘mercedes’ market in the city. Shanghai offers the second best quarterly lease price to expected market size, but the firm still chose to locate in Shanghai because the expanding nature. Because the X-Elite 1 is primarily for offices and businesses that require a large quantity of computers; age, sex, and marital status are unimportant. What the firm seeks in new customers, is growing companies that will require new shipments of large quantities of the X-Elite 1, the computer appeals to almost any office building setting as it has functions that allow for most offices to work efficiently. The main features of the X-Elite 1 include: office, book keeping, and presentation. Although X-Elite Technologies is a new company, they have managed to grip 27% of the market, behind the industry leader Galileo Computers, there is also three more competitors that X-Elite Technologies has managed to be superior …show more content…
Although, they like to try new things, they believe their current strategy is going to work well for the time to come. Sales personnel are being instructed to try to acquire new customers that are big players, and will require a large quantity of computers for the start up of their offices. Alongside new customers, the sales team checks in annually with existing customers to see if they will be needing any new computers, for any expansion they will be doing. X-Elite Technologies is aware that waiting for existing customer’s computers to be out of date is not the right way to make sales.
