His longing for a life with Yu Shu Lien is felt without being directly said. Yu Shu Lien goes to Beijing to visit Sir Te and bring him the Green Destiny. She explains the story to him on Master Li mu Bai wants to give up the green destiny the symbol of a great warrior and his traditions. The Green Destiny is an iconic sword that is thought to be the greatest weapon a swordsman could have. She is a famous face in Kung Fu movies. she killed his master and stole the secrets of Wudang. Now Jade Fox is secretly hidden herself in the governor’s house as the handmaiden to the governor’s daughter Jiao Long. She also taught Jiao Long the secrets of Wudang. She is another icon amongst these types of films, so there is a little bit of type-casting going on with the type of actors. For the most part of the main characters of this movie, they are well-known for playing roles and action films especially Kung Fu films, but Ziyi Zhang (Jiao Long) is not. According to IMDB website, she is actress and model. She is character for all different kind of movies, but “she is best known for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000)”.
While trying to get back the Green Destiny, Li Mu Bai is impressed by Jiao Long so much. He thinks she will become his great student if the evil of Jade Fox did not affect her heart. Jiao Long is engaged to be married to another high-powered family from Beijing that should help her father’s career. Now is when another character introduced is Lo ‘Dark Cloud’ played by actor Chen Chang. This is also where the movie changes from being very linear to nonlinear in the way the storyline is told, and it is the only point where the movie is not moving
