One of the biggest issues in the justice system today has to be wrongful convictions. Wrongful convictions happen when innocent people are usually found guilty in criminal trials. There are many issues that contribute to putting guiltless people behind bars. Some people take responsibility for others mistakes and end up receiving their consequences for their actions. For instance, sometimes you have people that may be sentenced to the death penalty even though they may not be guilty of a particular crime. As a result of that, an innocent person may die because of someone else’s criminal ways. My research proposal is based on a variety of cases of false arrests that has been happening over the years.
