In compliance with university policy and University of Miami Libraries Bylaws, it is my responsibility to annually evaluate the performance of faculty members who report directly to me, and to prepare a written performance review. It may also be helpful to you to refer to the Bylaws periodically during each year. The Faculty By-Laws identify those activities and accomplishments which are expected of each faculty member on their quest toward promotion. To a large extent, my assessments follows the expectations identified therein.
Although not the sole factor in consideration, job performance of daily duties is probably the most crucial. You consistently complete task with accuracy and timeliness. In those occasions when you lack a particular skill set, you demonstrate the ability to learn new technologies and implement them to improve your work product. This adaptability has been demonstrated by your willingness to teach yourself through watching video tutorials and in reaching out to your colleagues and mentor at Richter Library.

Your participation in faculty meetings and as a new member of the Medical School’s Faculty Council’s Information Resources Committee reflects very positively on your desire to support both the Department and the School. Also, important to the community is your serving as a volunteer to disseminate and discuss MedlinePlus and other free/authoritative health information resources at the DOCs Health Fair in West Kendall.
