Writing To Me Analysis

Improved Essays
Writing to me comes from critical thinking. Writing as a child was a big deal for me, too much work one had no choice but to do, I thought writing was a thing that only had to do with English class but as I moved forward with High-school I realized writing was inevitable in our day to day learning. As I grew older I eventually began to improve in my writing skills as the more you write the better you get. I sincerely do not recall having any writing experience worth remembering cause I have never been a fan of writing even though we had to use writing to express thoughts and ideas in almost all subject.

Writing, being a major part of learning has helped me be more precise and detailed in how I discuss topics/subjects. I look forward to improving

Throughout the year AVID has helped me learn organizational skills enormously. I say this because at the beginning of the year I didn’t know how I was going to complete all the work I received and I didn’t really understand the time management part. So as we started getting more and more homework, I found it was important to use your planner and to do your homework the night it was assigned. Several times I fell into a whole on Thursday nights, when we had binder the next day.…

When I write I feel liberated, expressive, creative, and most of all I feel like myself when I write. I love being assigned an essay, or written response because it gives me the opportunity to portray my personality and ora through my words. In my 3 years at high school so far my easiest assignments have always been written; it just comes natural to me. Words can be as sharp as a knife, or as dull as a feather and I live for them.…

My writing experience: I didn’t start to read until I was in first grade. Every week we would go to library to check-out two books and take a test on the books we read on a computer. Every day in English we read a short story to ourselves then we would play games dealing with the story to make it fun. To be honest I never really did a lot of writing in Elementary , Middle, or High school so I can’t pinpoint when I started writing. In essay writing I learned its always good to express yourself with your own opinion.…

My writing has developed better throughout the years. When it came to my writing there were many problems that I had to face to become successful. When I began writing I was struggling to figure out how to put my words together in an essay, which was grammar, organization, and focus. A Reflective Tour Through Writing The earliest I can remember navigating the writing world was when I was in fifth grade. My homeschool co-op classmates and I were tasked with rewriting the story of the Boston Tea Party. I made an outline of the existing narrative using keywords and created my own work based off my outline. The program required me to brainstorm adjectives, “ly” adverbs and quality verbs and also inspired me to be creative.…

With all of this emphasis placed on reading, I wasn’t really exposed to writing until the end of my primary school education which hindered my writing incredibly. I remember being in fourth grade and having all of these creative writing assignments that I was making less than average grades on, and being frustrated because this was the first time that I wasn’t exceling at something. At that time my imagination was expressed through reading fantasy stories instead of writing them. I was fascinated with the stories that I read and that my class mates wrote, but I could never produce material that was equivalent without copying parts or thoughts of other people’s stories, and I wanted to be completely original. After fourth grade, the writing kind of died down until I got to junior high, where it became one of the most important things taught in my English classes.…
