I found that I need to improve everything when it comes to writing in general. I have two problems; First is every time I am going to write something I always think about the subject in Spanish and that is a big problem because in Spanish is different from English. Everything is backward and the verbs and transitions are very different. That makes it more difficult for me because I have to go back and try to make sense on what I am writing. The second problem that I have is, that I like numbers better than letters and that makes my life a little bit complicated. One thing that Professor Mathis helped me was to change sentences and paragraphs to make sense or be more a stronger point. Writing the rhetorical analysis assignment was a challenge for me because trying to explain something that has a lot of information to people that had no idea and try to select information for a group of people that would be interested sometimes can be hard. The coworkers help me with my writing and they challenge me, one of the lady’s from my job gave me a book call “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho. During the summer I took a class of cultural diversities and the readings were really interesting that they change the point of view that I had when it comes to social problems in our society it really impact my life to make a change. The professor challenge me to the limit and with the reading and the writing I was able to have a better understating about the problems that we are facing in the society. The other experience was an art class, the class I was put on the spot to write a 12 page paper about art, that was my masterpiece that I created, for that I utilized the writing center on campus and online as well.
