The climax of the novel is when Santiago is faced with the challenge of turning
himself into the wind. In the climax Santiago must use everything that he has been taught, by the Alchemist, and by the language of the world that was taught to him by his heart. Santiago tries to get the help of the Desert, but the Desert can not help him fully, and can only lend the boy its sands, so the Desert helps the boy get the help of the Wind, again the boy is faced with the Wind not being able to help him to the fullest. The Wind then helps Santiago get the assistance of the Sun by creating a sandstorm, so Santiago is able to look and speak clearly to the Sun. The boy asks for help but the Sun cannot assist him in
