The thing I have always loved about stories is that they always have plot twists, surprises that can throw the whole course of a book, and although I can 't come back to life or reveal myself as someone 's long lost sibling perhaps a plot twist is exactly what I need. I have a terrible habit when I 'm writing of being 'eraser happy '. If I find the story moving in a way I 'm not expecting I tend to just get rid of the past few paragraphs and rewrite the plot so it goes towards what I 'm expecting. Although this isn 't necessarily the worst thing, it means that I never explore any other options, simply sticking to the original plan for the story.
