As a child, I was fortunate to have a few different external entities that encouraged me to read and write. My early exposure to reading gave me the ability to dream in words. Reading allowed me to escape to different worlds where my dreams can become reality. Once I started reading it was not too long before I realized my sentence structure, grammar, and word use was getting better. Preferably, I find comfort in writing without expectation or criticisms. I am familiar with the areas of my writing that need improvement, but my apprehensions stem from lack of time, discipline, and focus. It is undeniable that I enjoy writing as a free form of expression to keep secrets or share; it is leisure for me. When it comes to discipline and focus I find myself passionately articulating and editing my thoughts when I have an interest in what I am writing.
