Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19, 1809. He was well-known for writing dark horror stories and detective fiction stories. Tim Burton was born in August 1958, and he was a filmmaker and a director. He made successful films, like “Batman” and “Nightmare Before Christmas.” Writer, Poe, and filmmaker, Burton, both used similar storytelling styles, such as point of view, rhythm and mood. However, they differ in styles, such as plot, setting and characters. Edgar Allan Poe wrote a story, called The Tell Tale Heart. The plot for The Tell Tale Heart was exposition which introduced the narrator and the old man, rising action is when the narrator planned to kill the old man, climax is he kills the old man, falling action is the police came to investigate, and the resolution is when the narrator admitted the crime, whereas for Vincent exposition is when he was a normal kid, rising action is when Vincent becomes Vincent Price, in the climax he imagined killing his aunt, and made his own dog into a zombie, falling action is when he went to his room because he was grounded, for resolution is when he was haunted by the people he killed. For The Tell Tale Heart the setting took the place in prison, where he was explaining his story about what he did in the old man’s house. For the Vincent, the setting took place in the house and a lab which was in his imagination.
