Recently the school got the state writing scores back and the school scored very low, so low that the school has to make some changes to to improve the scores.
The program is called Write-way, it requires the students to write 30 minutes out of class, and they have to complete the paper over the weekend then hand it in Monday. The students will get their papers back before the Friday of that week. Write-way is a waste of time, both the teachers time and students. The teachers now have to grade 185 extra papers per week, therefore the students don’t get adequate feedback. The state is double timing the students.
