18 or 21? There has been an ongoing problem in the United States on whether the drinking age should be lowered to eighteen like most other countries or if it should stay at twenty-one. Teenagers are continuing to buy alcohol with fake ID, get into bars, and drink illegally. I can recall numerous times when I was a teen getting into bars, buying alcohol and partying. Although, I never possessed a fake ID, there were always people who were willing to take the risk of buying alcohol for a minor. I believe the drinking age should be lowered to eighteen because at the age of eighteen in the United States you are considered an adult and adults should have the right to make their own decisions such as voting, joining the military, or smoking cigarettes.
