My story at Dillard’s begins on October 2014. I was hired as a dock associate for the women’s building. Some of my responsibilities included sweeping and moping the floors, delivering merchandise to the sales floor, changing out the trash bags, among other maintenance duties. The incompetence of the morning crew did not bother Rick at all, even if I complained to him about it. Every night before leaving work, I would leave Rick a note asking him to change my schedule. You see, I was working Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. In my notes, I would ask him to give me a Saturday or Sunday off, as I wanted to go out and hang out with friends.
