Victoria is quite a popular city in B.C. it is known as the Garden City due to its impeccable beauty. It is popular among tourists, retirees, and students attending the many colleges within the city. The overall population within the greater Victoria area is 383,360. Victoria is actually the 15th most populated Canadian city, but it is more famous for the fact that the city center of Victoria is among the most densely populated city within the country at 85,792. Victoria is such a densely populated city that there is roughly 4,405.8 people for every square kilometer.

Thus, the city boasts the highest population of residents above 80 years of age. The median age for Victorian residence is higher than the national average of 40.6 at 41.9 years of age.
Visiting Victoria is quite convenient for much of the world as the national tongue is English with 84% of the population fluent, but there are other nationalities represented here as well. German, Chinese, and Punjabi make up the remainder of the population. The true minority of the region is Chinese and South Asian descent making up 4% of the overall population.
Education
With much of the population of Victoria being comprised of much older individuals, it is surprising to think that the area has a thriving student economy as well. The students are not only drawn to the rich artistic nature of the area, but the many universities that call Victoria home. One of the largest founded originally in 1903 as Victoria College.
