The arrival of Sobibor was very cruel. They would make you ride a train with only the food you had brought with you. The train ride would sometimes last up to five days. When you got there if you had extra food they would take it from you and they would also tell you to change into the clothes they had. All jewelry that the jew’s and other people that were not german had were forced to give it up to the Germans. In Sobibor they didn’t only take jews they took whoever was fighting against them to. For example they would sometimes take important Christians that were near the jews. They didn’t only take your stuff, they also whacked you with bats and yelled at you while whacking you. Death there was made up of two ways. You were beaten by a guard or you died of gas. In the gas chamber one hundred and fifty could be killed at once. In the gas chambers they would make you strip down naked and they would take all of your stuff. After this happened they would force you to go into the showers or gas chambers. Once everybody was in there they closed the doors and turned on the gas so everybody could die. After the gas went away and all the people died they would force the workers, which were jews, to go pick up their bodies and bring it to a fire.
