Racism and ethnicity can be said to be beyond the skin color, racism exists from our perception and stereotypes. According to the author, racism is not only biological but develops from one’s social experience and makes people believe that certain race or ethnic group is superior to others. Differences between people are not brought about by biological differences such as skin color but are brought about by environmental factors. People from the certain environment are associated with a certain value, people from rich backgrounds are perceived to be more of the human than those from a less well background (Logan, 2-3). According to the author, racism is learned from our upbringing and from common stereotypes associated with people from a certain race. People from the same race have different personalities and each individual is unique in his or her own way. For example, not all black people are athletic as perceived; one’s experience with a person from the certain race should not be used to generalize the whole race.
All people are equal if they are given equal opportunity, and race should not be the basis for associating certain race with success. Racism exists in people's mind, and it can be defined in many ways; from skin color, social, class or though stereotypes. People should change their view on racism because all people are equal, we may have different colors but all human being have the same blood
