For a meduim family in small town Jamestown, Michigan the chances of finding a likable hobby is greater than most, because of the less smaller hobbies and greater amount of brainstorming. For twins Eli and Roxy, 17 years old, a small town was something they were used to. The twins, had another sister Jade, and parents Melissa and Dave, whom all lived in the small town together for 2 years now, after moving from a no larger town in Illinois. The family were not only Jamestowns most passionate supporters of motocross but they were supporters within the family of motocross. For the atleats one of the twins to win the race, they are going to have to train to an extreme. Which is just what they did, their training consisted of running 7 miles a day split into incriments to keep their cardio above average, pushing their arms and legs to the max while lifting to avoid any kind of arm or leg pump while racing, and making laps aroudn their track in less than a minute to keep the other racers in the dust during the race. Going to school and training almost all day everyday for this race was stressfull. There was a couple things that helped reduce stress though, Eli and Roxy's personal trainer was their father, their teams mechanic was their older sister who had went to college for mechanics just to be apart of the team, and their team manager was their mother who took care of just about everything but the racing …show more content…
The twins always had their special pep talk before they race, the two had their talk and before they knew it they were lined up on the gate waiting for it to drop. Eli and Roxy side by side on the gate ready to put all their work towards soemthing. The gate drops and Eli is takes hole shot, with roxy right behind her in second place. The twins are off to a pretty great start, but thats only the begining of 17 laps around a nationals track. Eli and Roxy are 3 laps in and Eli endos off of the table top, which not only takes Eli down but two others. Putting Roxy in first and Eli in seventh, for how long the twins had been racing together they knew that if one went down the other did not wait or linger, they woulld still push to the front. While Eli fights to get her spot back in front, Roxy is holding strong in first leading the whole race. As their sister Jade, and their parents are on the sidelines going crazy cheering, Roxy and Eli are back up front togetehr and only 7 laps in. Going onto 8 laps Eli is having the worst luck with this race, her sproket decides to come lose and take the handlebars off alignment. So while she has to pull off the track to get it tighened, jade is waiting for her in the pitts to begin fixing it. When she finally gets back onto the track she is a lap and a half behind and has to pull off magic to be back at the top of the race. As Eli gets going
