Invasive species are prevalent in many places around the world, and are classified as any living organism that is not native to the ecosystem in which they are currently present in and causes harm. They can exist as a plant, fungus, or an animal, which is what we will focus on for the entirety of the paper. Invasive species are usually considered endangered species where they are native, but switch to invasive species in areas where they are indigenous. They are spread in a variety of ways both accidental and purposeful that include traveling because of food scarcity, land destruction, or migration, and to control other native species populations, but unexpectedly overpopulate and become a hindrance instead of an asset. Many of these ways include prevention and assessment of new invasive species by enforcing laws and regulations that prevent the transportation or selling of indigenous species in areas that have endangered species and management and control of current invasive species by capturing them and transporting them back to their natural habit and attempting to keep a rough estimate of the population. There are three other common ways people have attempted to control invasive species one of them being by educating themselves and doing outreach so we can beware of their behavioral patterns, areas they like to invade and common factors between these areas, and knowing what to do if we come in contact or become aware of the location of an invasive species. In addition, some people try to control invasive species by other species that are not natives which is highly discouraged since even though they may control the problem they can also in the future possibly become an invasive themselves.
