Write An Essay On How To Be A Successful Healthcare Manager

Based on my results from the “healthcare management talent quotient quiz”, I scored highly in managerial characteristics, i.e., teamwork, team building, communicating with other professionals, planning and organizational skills. While answering those questions mentioned in the quiz, I notably scored fours - “strongly agree” - in all of those characteristics I mentioned. (That is, using a scale of 1-4). I’ve always realized my strength and how much I enjoy taking time to develop new relationships (professionally or socially). I found that doing this, goes a long way in helping me gain new found knowledge from others, and understanding what motivates people or team members; which are all incredibly significant to becoming a valuable healthcare manager or an ideal leader in any professional setting. Some of the areas of opportunities I will be working on improving is the public speaking aspect of my professional endeavors. Conversely, I tend to become very timid or less confident when I am speaking in front of an unfamiliar crowd. I discovered that lifelong learning is critical to organizational strategies, performance, and planning. Critical learning includes; liberal arts: conceptual, technical, and functional competency in general management and healthcare management; managerial skills and abilities; and experiential learning where you can apply classroom theory to real world health care management (Buchbinder & Thompson, 2010, p. 13).
