In Shonda Rhimes show Grey’s Anatomy is about a set of doctors who work in a hospital. They have many scenarios where they are put to the test to find the best way to treat a patient and sometimes they are in trouble themselves. The show tends to be a very emotional show especially when main characters are hurt or die. One of the shows that stand out to me the most is called Flight where a few of the main characters are killed in a plane crash. The show begins with a plane that has crashed in a desolate area. At the beginning it is unknown who was in the plane until one of the main characters, Arizona, starts screaming from the pain. The main characters involved in the crash are spread throughout the woods and the show begins to show who it is: Arizona, Christina, Meredith, Mark, Lexie, and Derek. However, Lexie and Derek are missing at the beginning until banging is heard from Lexie, who is trapped under the plane. Mark, her lover, tries to help her, but there was little hope. Derek is back in the woods with his arm caught in metal. Using a rock, he is able to free is arm, but he is still far from the rest of the group. Mark now believes he is going to die as well while Arizona is telling him that he cannot die because of his daughter. He hangs on, but the night quickly approaches and Meredith lit the last match that they had trying to build a fire. The wind blows it out and Christina tells everyone to just remain conscious until help arrives. The show promptly ends at this point. Although the plane crash wasn’t the entire episode, it took most of the time as this is an hour long show. This scene is one of the most emotional scenes in the series and the show ended with anticipation for what will happen next. That is another major theme this show tends to
