Canadian Culture is historically been influenced by British, French, Aboriginal and various nationalities cultures and traditions. Before the British and French arrived, in the 1600’s, Canada was a land of many First Nations and their culture has also played a very huge role in our history and identity. One of the most important teachings was that people should live in harmony with the natural world and all it contained. I have observed this respect that the First Nations cultivated, for everything in the natural world, reflected during songs, dances, festivals and ceremonies here in Canada. When Europeans arrived in Canada, Natives have gone into teaching European settlers about their customs, and how to get by in Canada.
