How did you handle the situation? A time when I did not agree with a policy in a class that I was taking was when I was taking anatomy and physiology 2. During that semester I was taking fifteen credit hours and 5 months pregnant. My goal was to accomplish the semester and have my baby in June when he was due. My baby unfortunately had other plans. When I was 27 weeks pregnant my little baby boy decided he wanted to try and come early. I was air lifted to Loyola hospital the day before I had an exam and lab practical in Anatomy and physiology. The doctors were able to stop the contractions but wanted me to stay a week in the hospital just to make sure I was not going to go into labor again. I contacted my teachers and all were understanding of the situation and worked with me for the missed days. Except anatomy and physiology the teacher had a very strict rule stating No make ups. With missing that test I would have had to of gotten 100% on all of the remaining work for the semester to pass the class. With all the complications going on with my pregnancy I knew that was not promising so I had to unfortunately drop out of the class for that semester which meant there being a withdrawal on my transcripts. Although I was disappointed my baby’s health was my main priority. I retook the class the following semester. When I go to study for my science classes I first read through the whole chapter that we are learning and highlight all of the main ideas in each section. I then look through my teachers PowerPoints and highlight all of the words that the teacher put in bold. Finally when I go back and read through the chapter again I will try and connect anything I find with the highlighted word I also will find specific key words to connect terms. Another way I usually prepare for my tests would be to use the sites available that have practice questions on the information that we are learning at that time. I found having practice questions helps me to look at what I am learning from a different
