Once there was a fair king named Liam. He was riding back from a trip on a cold, harsh day when he noticed a girl being abandoned by her parents. The king thought, "since I don't have an heir to the throne, she could become it." Then Liam walked over and held out his hand to the girl and put her on his horse. Once Liam climbed on his mighty steed, the little girl told him her name was Athena and she was five years old. Then he rode back to his castle where his wife awaited him. When they got back to the castle, Liam instructed his wife, Annabelle, to make a bed for Athena .Then sent Athena off with a guard to watch over her and keep her safe. Liam returned to his wonderful queen and told her what happened in the woods. Then Annabelle told him that she was pregnant and Liam was happy. Liam wondered what to do with the little broken down child from the forest: to keep her or to send her off. The girl fell asleep scared, wondering what was happening to her. …show more content…
Bumping into a man named Gabriel, he mistook her for a maid. Gabriel took her to the king to get the chore list for her thinking she was a maid. When Gabriel and Athena entered the room the king noticed the firm grip on Athena's arm. Athena was crying and Gabriel was shouting at her. She was scared. Gabriel left the room to give the king and Athena some space. Liam told Athena that he planned on adopting her and making her the next queen. Then Liam took Athena to meet a boy named James.
