Hatchet Head
Before I realized what I’d done, “boom”, it plummeted down and hit me on the head. Minutes previous to the accident, I had been on a scavenger hunt searching for the golden hatchet, looking everywhere, up and down, left, right, but still had not found it. I heard my teammate Grace scream, “Check the Fort” I ran inside the open gate and down the long fence. Once I reached the old ladder I didn’t think twice, I sprinted up it. After quickly reaching the first floor of the fort the hatchet was nowhere to be found. Before anyone else beat me to, I grabbed a hold of that second ladder which led me to the top, giving me a new splinter every time I grabbed the next hold.

As I reached the top of the tower I saw it sitting there shining like the sun, yelling for me to pick it up. I called for my friends, shouting that I found it! I bent down to pick it up intent on doing a hands in the air victory cheer. My body was shaking from excitement so much so the hatchet slipped from my

They had kindly brought me a humongous ice pack, Emily set it on my head and we all began to laugh hysterically. When we walked outside our counselors Flippy, Pickles, and Marz were standing there with a big cup of soothing hot chocolate, trying to keep from laughing as well. The first thing Flippy had said to me as she hugged me was, “Our Nina was more special than we thought”. That managed to make us all giggle again.

Other friends from the week made their way into the dining hall to see if I was okay. I swiftly recapped what happened, as I enjoyed my steaming and quite delicious cup of hot chocolate with my teammates. Knowing that I was the one that managed to finish the week with a win for the blue team was such a rush! These summer camp memories will stay with me as the bump on my head would eventually fade

I thought HATCHET did a better job at foreshadowing because it actually gave you a clue of what was going to happen. In a “Cry in the Wild” I really didn’t understand what was going to happen until it happened. On the other hand,I thought since it was a movie “a Cry in the Wild” had better imagery but just by a little bit because Hatchet had a bunch of descriptive words. All in all, I thought hatchet had a better compound of foreshadowing and imagery than “a Cry in the…

Hatchet vs. A Cry in the Wild I think Hatchet did a way better job of telling the story. In “A Cry in the Wild” they had to skip many things to keep the movie so it's not to long. And in Hatchet, the author lists all the details to give a great image in your mind.…

The book Hatchet does a better job of telling the novel Hatchet than the movie “A Cry In The Wild”. One example of foreshadowing is when the hatchet hit upside the rock and made a spark and help give an image of what he needed to make the fire. Due to this in the book it explained how the hatchet hit the rock and helped him make the fire. On the other hand, in the movie, it did not say why it made it help him make the fire it just showed the Hatchet hitting the rock and him making the fire with it. I believe this because the book gave more details and said more about what happened.…

There are probably a lot of people that will agree with me when I say surviving with nothing is no fun. Brian had to in order to survive in Hatchet. I think it is safe to say that if you are alone in the Canadian wilderness in an unknown situation it is no one’s ideal situation.
