My upbringing has numbed me to unpredictability and sudden chaos. .Growing up with two brothers, my house was continuously loud, messy, and spottily supervised. Siblings arguing, someone crying, my parents yelling, a phone ringing, and the dog barking all meant my house was functioning normally. So it didn't surprise me when my parents abruptly decided to move my family and I to florida.Unhappy with their decision I did my best to give Florida a chance. I didn't have any of my friends and cousins to enjoy the rest of my summer with so hoping to finally make new friends I couldn't wait for the school year to begin. Being that this would be my first time going to a public school I was thrilled that I didn't have to wear a uniform. It was a great …show more content…

My parents were never married so technically there was no divorce but they were defiantly no longer together, the way my mom explained it was that they would always love each other and us, but they were just not in love anymore, not really understanding the difference, I just went along with it, and since my dad and I were never really close, The fact that he wasn't coming didn't bother me. Once again we found our selves packing our things into the back of a U-Haul truck ready to go back. For me it was a bitter sweet, i knew I would miss my new friends, but I was also excited to go back and be with my old friends and to have more family around me again. Everything was good when I moved back, however I think my mom realized that moving back didn't change the fact that her grandma was no longer here so we moved back to Florida almost a year later. Those two years had changed my life the most, I was forced to grow up and instead of my parents being there for me I had to be there for them. But not only did I grow up I was also able to build such an unbreakable bond with my brothers that I know will keep us close for the rest of our

For most students, the transition from middle school to high school is the evolution from childhood to adulthood. In my case, my middle school graduation was a quick transition for another reason. The first few months of my freshman year had my parents rushing my grandfather in and out of the hospital because of his failing heart. By this point my grandfather had battled off colon cancer, 3 heart attacks, and 2 open heart surgeries. At age 74 he was not a candidate for a heart transplant but he was able to get a defibrillator.…

I was shocked because I lived in California at the time and I had only ever moved to a different city at most.…
